Construction Defect Center Now Urges All US Homeowners Whose Home May Have Defective LP or ABT TrimBoard Building Products to Call Them & Get Identified for Compensation

The Construction Defect Center is saying, “We are convinced defective trim board, or defective fascia board used on new homes, or condominium projects after 2005 has already become a large national problem. The problem is most homeowners in subdivisions, or condominiums rarely talk to each other. We fear there could be literally tens of thousands of homes, that contain a potentially defective wood trim, or wood fascia building product called Louisiana Pacific, or ABT TrimBoard, ProTrim, or ChoiceTrim. Because the fixes are potentially in the thousands of dollars, per home, we need to get as many homeowners identified as possible, especially homes, in subdivisions, and or condominium projects, where these products were used on every home.” The group says, “If a homeowner, or condominium owner, has noticed their window trim, fascia board, has failed, if it looks bloated, if it has turned dark, if it has delaminated, or failed in any other way, call us at 866-714-6466, and we will do everything possible to help homeowners identify the product type, and at the same time try to get them some meaningful help. No other group in the nation offers a service like this, the catch is the home, or home remodeling involving the wood trim boards, cannot be any older than 6 years.”http://ConstructionDefectCenter.Com

Specific Issues With Home Trim Boards, Or Fascia Boards The Construction Defect Center Wants To Hear About:

  • Wood trim board, that appears to be decayed, or has turned to a darker color
  • Wood trim board, that is spongy feeling, or easy to push your finger into
  • Wood trim board that has delaminated
  • Wood trim board that appears to be rotting

The Construction Defect Center says, “Rotting, decaying, soft, or delaminated trim boards is not a new problem, its actually a very old problem, we completely understand the issue, and we do not want homeowners, especially those in a subdivision, or condominium project to get left holding the bag. While our initial focus of this investigation might be Louisiana Pacific, and or ABT Building Products, actually we are looking at all makers, and we will assist homeowners, in new homes with product identification, should they have these problems with their home’s exterior trim board, or siding products. This is a coast, to coast problem.” According to the Associated Press on February 09, 2010, “A judge has certified a class action accusing Louisiana-Pacific Corp. and ABT Building Products Corp. of making and marketing exterior trim for houses that rapidly deteriorates.” For more information homeowners can contact the Construction Defect Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or they can contact the group via their web site at http://ConstructionDefectCenter.Com
