Georgia Pacific PrimeTrim Siding Product Rotting, Shrinking or Delaminating

The Construction Defect Center says, “If a homeowner knows for certain their home’s exterior window trim or fascia board is the Georgia Pacific PrimeTrim, and this specific type of wood trim, or fascia product has started to swell, delaminate, warp, shrink, or rot, we want to hear from them anytime, and these homeowners can be in any state, including California, Florida, New York, Washington, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Arizona, or Illinois.” According to court records it is alleged the Georgia Pacific PrimeTrim siding product has a history of premature failures involving warping, delaminating, rotting, or shrinking. The Construction Defect Center says, “According to court records, Georgia-Pacific’s advertising claims that PrimeTrim can be installed “wherever nonstructural wood trim can be used” and that it does not have knots, splits, checks and wane. PrimeTrim trim board, that appears to be decayed, or has turned to a darker color

PrimeTrim trim board, that is spongy feeling, or easy to push your finger into

PrimeTrim trim board that has delaminated

PrimeTrim trim board appears to be swollen

PrimeTrim trim board that appears to be rotting, or has cracked.”
